Multiplatform and headless content management

Our new website is a great example of one of our headless builds

As part of your new branding launch, it made sense to build the accompanying website with something new. We researched and explored numerous options and settled on Strapi as our headless platform of choice.

Part of using a new platform, is learning all the differences (good and bad) to what you're used to, so you can find opportunities for improvement, for both internal and external users.

Our Headless CMS approach

What we've learnt with this project

Having used our own website as a test case, we're now very confident (when the brief calls for it) that we can support organisations with Headless website implementation

  • Speed

Page load speeds can really benefit from a Headless build, if the focus is around streamlined content and a reduction in reliance on heavy imagery - mobile does really well too.

  • Content management

While content management isn't as quick as WordPress for lots of changes, Headless is great for sites that need to be built fast and information remains pretty static - brochure sites are a great fit.

  • Front end flexibility

Animations and video content really do benefit from Headless builds given the way the website information is stored; less to load each time, as only the front end is required.

We're confident in our experience with WordPress and Kentico, but something like Headless CMS (Strapi) gives us a chance to branch out and help organisations do things differently if the brief requires it. We're incredibly impressed with the final outcome of this Strapi implementation.
